Working with Oils "Metal, Glass, Ceramic, Wood"

There is just nothing quite like painting with oil! Oil paint goes on so smooth and allows for the most beautiful blending, but it can also seem intimidating. In this three-part series, you will learn the basics of painting with oils including blending, working in layers, and using the right mediums, all while painting from life. Our still-life arrangement will be made up of a variety of objects with different surfaces - metal, glass, wood, etc. You will learn ways to capture each of these different surfaces with the paint. You will also learn about value and light with casting shadows. And the slow, forgiving nature of oils lends an artist the patience to learn and keep at it.
